Logic would suggest that "muff " water will get to the same places as lake or sea water . The flush port will also get everywhere that sea water can get as well .
Flushing port def gets to the impeller....thats not my concern since Im doing the impeller every other season anyway.does it get to the entire upper???? thats my concern???? I think not unless motor is warmed up and stats open.Charlie
Yeah but some t/stats have a small bypass figured in there somehow and the t/stat is pretty much the last thing the water gets to . The t/stat doesnt make a perfect seal and will leak enough to purge any air out as the water gets pushed up thru the exhaust cover and the block and head (s) .
) and get a bit of warm water flowing at a decent rate .
