I've got a '75 14' Lund. Doesn't leak a bit. I was gratefull that the rivits didn't need bucking after I bought her. I bought her from the Original owner last summer.

Re: Does your boat leak any water at all?

I had a small leak on my inboard outdrive. It was the shifter cable boot. It leaked a little like yours and more as I lifted the outdrive up. It only got worse until I replaced the boot.
I had my boat 100% water tight last year, this year I have a leak somewhere that I just can NOT seem to find. Its only about 3 cups worth of water usually after 3-4 hours on the water, but it drives me nutty.

Just curious if 100% water tight is the norm. or am I just OCD?

On the bright side, my transom cant rot(used Coosa when I replaced it).

Still driving me nuts trying to chase it down. I can see it is coming from the actual drain plug, but I can't tell if it is something on the transom or the drain plug hole itself.

It depends if I run my livewell or wash down my deck. My thru deck connection doesn't have a fitting on under deck part (can't reach to put a clamp on it) but i pull my plug when I get in and squirt out about 1 gallon worth of water. When I don't run the livewell or wash it down I generally don't getmore than a cup or none. I also need to seal up my center hatch to keep water from entering the bilge.

I've had a leak ever since I got my boat, '85 Bayliner bowrider w/ 85hp force o/b. I've been trying everything to find & repair it. If I'm out on the water, sitting or running, I'd need to pump quite a bit of water out every 1/2 hr. to 45 min's. Not until I had to change a bunk on the trailer did I find the problem, there was a scrape in the hull about 12" long that could not be seen until I jacked the boat up off the trailer for the bunk replacement. Sealed with 3M 5200 & presto! not a damn drop. I'm a happy boater now, could not relax knowing I had water getting in. Was not all that bad, just bugged the hell out of me. Anyway, that's my story.

when i tore my floor out this spring to re do it i found a small 1/4 inch split in my hull right in a stern angle underneath. about like the flat tip of a screwdriver. i repaired it with aves 2 part waterproof epoxy inside and out after i sanded it down to bare alum. i knew something was a mis cause first time i had it out this spring it took on quite a bit. i bet it drained for 5 min. bilage wasnt pumping. had debris in the suction. now the last 3-4 times i had it out i got less than a gallon after 4-5 hours. might have a leaky river or two. i like the video on repairing rivets in the thread. i might have to try that this summer and get her tight. when i got it back in 04 ide get a trickle after 5-6 hrs. i mean less than a cup. but now bilage is cleaned out and working so i flick on every time i drive to another spot to fish ect... so im usually not draining anything but a spit when i load.
