I got a 1978 imperial 17' bowrider and I'm going to be changing the floor. My question is... is there any articles on replacing the floor( a walkthrough)? I notice that the plywood is coated with resin, do you have to do this? and if so what kind do you recommend?

You don't have to use anything, coating it with resin will make it last longer though. For best results use epoxy resin, otherwise polyester resin or just paint.<br />And the type of ply you use will also make a difference, use nothing less than good quality exterior ply, or if you can afford it marine ply (which is often cheaper anyway!).

How about using some solid composite materials like Star Board? Never gonna rot again!
