dont know if this is in the right section but i have a 74 kona with a 115 outboard mercury .....my friends dad got a new one and gave me the old one .....my question is will this help my boad or is it not worth it to put on ....

Don't do it. You can search and find tons of reasons. Smart Tabs are the way to go if you are having issues.

Kind of better in Boat Topics, but not a bad idea to put it over in Props. Definitely a well worn topic over here . . . Good luck. That's a nice old and light hull. It might actually work and you'll rarely see me post that. I guess I am mellowing to the idea that they work well on very small boats. Yours . . . I bet we could set it up better without it.

well the boat is set up nice i really dont have a problem with it....i just heard these are nice to have ........so i was just asking everyone's opinion

If she doesn't porpoise, and planes off easily enough, leave her alone and consider yourself lucky
