Re: Don Imus got fired.

I agree with most that was said here. I was surprised to hear Sharpton this morning on CBS say that he was tired of the music industry and the disparaging comments they have towards blacks and women and he is going after them next. We will see ...

....then when Bill Cosby makes similar admonishments he is ridiculed as an Uncle Tom. I tell ya folks, the Libs do not want to see the minorities rise out of the gutter. They just give lip service to it. 'Keep 'em down on the plantation' and anyone who tries to escape will be delt with severely. Put to the lash, as it were!

If the blacks, in particular, are allowed off the plantation, the Sharptons, the Jacksons and the whole Liberal party become irrelevant. Whose cause would they pick up next, to keep themselves in power? The Hmongs?

Talk about racist? Why do we, as a country, abide by the Black Caucus in our legislative halls?

How come no one is screaming about free speech? Aren't we allowed freedom of speech, even if it offends others? I know our favorite two reverends have been offending me with their speech for years and no one does anything about that!

Nothing here has to do with freedom of speech. It has to do with being offensive. Offensive speech, lies, misrepresentations are not illegal, but they do make advertisers uneasy. And as reality is whatever they, the MSM, wants to present it as. I mean this couldn't be any more offensive than calling our troops Nazi's. Or calling all white people crackers and saying you hate all white people. (Chris Rock, but they promoted him to do the Academy Awards MC)

This is nothing more than reverse racism. But this isn't anything new.

The shame of this entire issue is that the projected intent for the action taken against Imus is supposed to help improve race relations.Instead it just adds more fuel to the divisive fire and more dollars in the Sharptonians pockets.Aquitting OJ didn't help, awarding Rodney King and prosecuting cops didn't help, affirmative action hasn't helped,etc..ect... IMO,people like Al and his posse, work to keep broken what they profess they are trying to repair. If their followers would wise up ,Sharpton and company would be next in line at the unemployment office.

The Rev. Al Sharpton said in New York that he would put pressure on CBS but that the issue was larger than Imus.

"I think we also have to have now a broad discussion on how the music industry allows this to be used," Sharpton said. "I don't think that we should stop at NBC, and I don't think we should stop at Imus."

He wants Rush and Haninity. That activist shark smells blood in the water now.
My prediction is a fresh attempt at legislating a silencing of free speech on American airwaves (a 2K version of the "fairness" doctrine). Time will tell if I am right.
