AQ125A/270
I removed 6 bolts total. I CAN NOT get this thing off. There could be one of two problems.

1) Just above the two starter bolts, there is another hole with no threads inside. In this hole I can see a plug of metal. Same goes for the other side. Could these plugs be holding this thing that solid.
2) The u-joint shaft that goes into the bellhousing is frozen in there. I was taking the bell off for that reason. Could this shaft be holding the bellhousing on.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Is it out of the boat? It's probably hung up on the dowls as well as the shaft, bit of WD40 or similar would help. Got any gaps to insert screwdrivers into? Working at opposite sides of the housing, not too forceful, but not too gentle either. It'll come off.

Bellhousing's are like brake rotors/drums. You need to smack it a few times with a decent size rubber hammer. If you don't have one, get one. Best tool for removing risers, manifolds, etc..

Yes, there will be a rubber mallet purchased today. The motor is sitting on my garage floor and that has given me the chance to stomp, kick, flip, beat, and curse at that bell housing for three hours last night. I tried to shim it open with screwdrivers and wood wedges, but got nowhere. I can't just leave this stuff undone. It would eat at my soul forever. I have to clean up the frozen shaft, the flywheel needs cleaning, I have to check the gimble bearing, etc...It must come off.
