Date Line Ketchican, Alaska:

A bald eagle crashed through a window of a home and landed in the living room, scattering broken glass, feathers and a salmon carcass across the floor. Homeowner Jean Stack heard the crash and initially wondered if someone had thrown a dead fish through the window.

When she reached the living room she found glass from one end of the room to the other. "There was this huge fish carcass right where my dog usually slept," she said. "It didn't have a head. It was at least two feet long - just the back bone and the tail."

The guy with the Bald Eagle and dead fish in his living room....he a neighbor of yours???

Re: Don S How close to home

Read that in the paper last Tuesday, they weren't neighbors and they are about 12 miles away. The story was ironic as I just watched a couple eagles fight just a week earlier. They had been screaming at each other for some time, then launched from seperate trees into a head on collision. Fell through some phone/cable lines going to a neighbors house and broke the wires. Went over to have a look for bodies. One eagle took off immediatly, found the other walking around screaming, when he seen me and the wife coming, he took off.
Both birds had a 5 to 6 foot wing spans ........
