I posted a question about replacing the sealing ring on the sea water pump on my VP I/O severla weeks ago. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=313228&highlight=water+pump+seal. You stated "I've never had to replace that seal. Mostly because when the seal goes bad, so does the bearings in the pump, and they are not replaceable." I thought I would try the seal replacement first. It lasted about 2 weeks and now I'm going to replace the pump as the old one is shot as you suggested. Thanks for the good avice, I'll be sure to pay heed in the future.

What Bondo said.
trust me, I know I make a lot of mistakes too, as anyone here does. But there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on this IO forum answering questions day after day, that also need a slap on the back.

I do appreciate the "attaboy", each time I get one, my moderator pay is doubled ;)
