The item to the left/behind the SAEJ sticker (fuel pump) ((under the red wire)) would be the water separator fuel filter base assembly.

Ok. Thx. Didn't know it had an electric pump. Wonder if this is an original motor in this boat. Serial #F769949. Owner says boat is a 1996

Yes seems like it would be original as your serial number is in that era of 1996 range plus your model number number to the serial number comes up as 443B100JS which comes up as 1996 4.3L [ALPHA].
