I am always one to preach safety. I'll wear full protective gear no matter what I do. I wear ear protection, eye protection and even a mask when I mow.
That being said, I am working on an RC airplane engine. The throttle valve in the carb is stuck from being gummed up. I went to spray some carb cleaner in the little opening (of which it is actually stuck closed, or shut off) and that carb cleaner went straight in and right back out hitting me in the eye. I just barely pressed down on the carb cleaner valve thingy. How it didn't get in my eye is beyond me, my eyebrows, even eyelashes, had carb cleaner on them, My cheek had it, everywhere but my actual eye.
Note to self: Never let your guard down!!!!!!!
