Dont understand..

Took my 10ft speedboat out today with my 1998 evinrude 25 be25elece.
Running like a dog explains it best! Basicly in neutral it picks up fine, in gear it is fine at slow rpm but when the floor it it coughs and stops if you dont catch it and lower the revs. If i pull the enricher out quickly and put it back in then it picks up fine. Have replaced fuel pump still not joy, tried priming bulb while going along, still no luck!
Any ideas?

Sounds like carb is gummed up - priming it and having it pick up is a good tell-tale that that's the issue. Pull the carb off, disassemble and clean...

The primer bulb makes no difference its when i pull the choke enricher out and put it back in.

Get over the "in neutral" business. Any engine will rev fine in neutral since there is no load on it. In fact an engine running on half its cylinders will rev fine in neutral.

Your "choke enrichener" is a primer system. It squirts a bit of fuel into the carb through, behind the throttle butterfly.

Carb has a restriction in it somewhere, like Chine said remove, clean, reassemble and install. Off to the races then........
