Hey guys,
A bit of a stupid moment for me, and looking for input on how to handle.
I recently purchased a 99 150 merc EFI and was unable to immediately secure any manuals for it. (Long story so I'll spare those details). I was itching to get out on the water so I opted to install a water seperating fuel filter on the fuel line immediately after the tank. (Works very well) Last night, I finally secured the manuals and to my surprise, there is a water seperating fuel filter under the cowl. I figured in 99, there was no such an animal as a wsff. Ok, so now I have 2 filters on my fuel system. Should I leave it as it is now, or remove the secondary filter that I insalled? BTW, I will be running the 10% ethanol blend from the gas station as that is the only option around here.
