DP-C1 lower unit. What other lower gear cases will work

What other lower gear cases work with my DP-C1. I might be better off buying a used lower to get me floating again. My local shop quoted me 2500 for the 3 gears that are bad in mine. That was the parts only, they couldnt find them cheaper anywhere. So im going to try to see what a Volvo dealer can do for parts. I trust my local shop hes a good guy.

Im just looking for all possible solutions

Bump, needing info on lower units that are compatible from other units.

Most AQ series are compatible as long as the gear ratio is the same. 280, 290, 290A, DP-A, DP-A1, DP-A2, DP-B, DP-C, DP-C1, DP-D, DP-D1, DP-E

There were changes between some models but they will mate up.

You are looking at around $2000 for a good resealed lower unit. Make sure the lowers bearing carrier has been pulled and gears inspected. You may be able to find a good used complete unit on craigslist but they go fast when the are posted.

Thats cheaper than the 2100 gear set alone.
