Re: Dr. Thomas Sowell: "After Iraq"

I know I have not always been as nice as I should be, but it is statements like those that derail these discussion.

We will have to agree to disagree: QC. My own statement is an accurate assesment, (on my part), of the adjenda of modern domestic Democrats, (from my perspective as I clearly stated). They clearly want to corntrol every aspect of human life, (increase taxes n' pass intrusive regulations to gain increasing power), and work tirelessly to that objective. I don't want to hyjack this thread going on and on about what I believe, but my past posts prove I can back up what I say with historical events and actions by Democrats.

I don't believe for a minute that Democrats are automatically stupid, or in lock step, or are all ruthless.

Never said anything about stupid, or lock step; but they are clearly: ruthless. FDR packed the US Supreme Court to circumvent the 20 page Cornstatution's limits on Federal power. I find that a ruthless tactic. The Liberal MSM regularly publishes damaging US inteligence on the front pages of our news papers. The Democrats forced withdrawal of the US from Vietnam and cut off all aid and 3,000,000 of our former allies perished. Is that not ruthless in yer eyes QC? The current Democrats are providing all kinds of aid and comfort to our current enemies to help assure our defeat. I find that ruthless.

And it is logically impossible that all "Repubs" get their guidance from Rush and/or have some sort of group-think meeting that defines all of their positions on all issues. Please give "us" the same courtesy and benefits of doubt that you expect for yourself, and visa versa. Thanks . . . ;)

Not gonna debate ya about PW2's words, but I will defend me own. Respectfully, JR

I guess my point Murk is that there are good Dems and bad Repubs and visa versa . . . :)

Fair enough, QC, but I would at some point in time like to have a debate about what the Dems actually say vs what the Repubs actually say, with a little attempt at understanding the different points of view, rather than what we generally get...

Like Murky's latest post, for example, which isn't worth commenting on except to use as an illustration of what I am talking about.

If we could control ourselves, I agree that would be fun and enlightening . . . :) You start.

I agree with the above statement: QC.

That said: I still stick by exactly what I said earlier on this thread. The current crop of modern Democrats, (expecially the majority of them who were real gun ho to prove how tough they were and VOTED to go into Iraq when it was fashonable), are disgusting selfish pukes who should be drivin' from office in disgrace. I'm not referring to Obama, Ted Kennedy or Dennis Kucinich, but any current Dem who voted to invade Iraq (or Republican for that matter) who wants NOW to profit politically from our defeat should be shown the door. Respectfully JR

Hmmmmm, I've never told you where you got all your information, I just disputed the cornclusions you reached. You told me where I get all my information, and you don't have a clue about that, as you can't read me sole brain cell no matter how feeble you think it is. You also claimed all Republicans can't think for themselves, how would you know that? I think there is a huge difference between our two stated postitons and the logic of the arguments supporting both positions. Yours is based on mind reading or some other irrational power of perception you think you have. My positions are based on verifiable observations of facts, history, actual actions or words, and a rational intrepretation of such. JR
