Re: "Dragging Our Feet On Oil Production"

So your prefered "plan" would be for the government to flood the domestic market with our stored crude reserves.
And for domestic output go to maximum to also flood the domestic market.
So that prices would go down in order to get all that production out of the pipelines.
So when prices are pushed artificially low, consumers will once again feel comfy while buying and driving gas guzzlers.
So that eventually when a real squeeze in supply comes along those that are alive will really squeal and suffer the consequences.
So that you can buy gas for $1 per gallon versus $3 per gallon until your dead?

No Jeeperman, I don't know if yer jus' cornfusted about the "stretegic oil reserve" in the Gulf Coast salt domes vs ANWAR n' the rest of the USA's cornsiderable reserves that THE LIBS are intentionally denyin' access to fer the high price effects we have right now or if yer intentionally playin' with me like me Bro Haut does nearly every day. VERY DIFFERENT SITUATIONS!!!

And for domestic output go to maximum to also flood the domestic market.

Earth to Jeeperman: Drillin' fer and actually findin' actual oil takes years to "FLOOD" anything. Come on now. Ya on the same planet I'm on?

So that prices would go down in order to get all that production out of the pipelines.

You really don't get it do ya? Markets anticapate the future. If the Libs n' dim wit Dems restrict supply, n' then more dim wits vote in more dim wits, (11/2006), the market knows the chance of any rational energy policy is very VERY remote. The US supply will be restricted untill we flush the terlet of some of the dim wit Dems, (only takes a single FUNCTIONAL brain cell to get this picture I'm paintin' fer ya here).

So when prices are pushed artificially low, consumers will once again feel comfy in buying gas guzzlers.

HUH? You nippin' or ya get some of PW2's smoke in yer pipe?

So that eventually when a real squeeze in supply comes along those that are alive will really squeal and suffer the consequences.

Where do I start?

So that you can buy gas for $1 per gallon versus $3 per gallon until your dead?

It is jus' toooooooo hard ta educate ya here on the net, YOU DON'T GET IT: my friend. I'm Sorry. Respectfully, JR

IF this does not demonstrate the need ta answer the ol' nagin' question, what will? IS LIBERALISM A MENTAL DISORDER? Not callin' ya a Lib Jeeperman, I have no way of knowin' what ya are. That said: the Libs' kool aid flows free from the ding dongs in the MSM. Especially about Big _____________, fill in the blank, (in this case OIL). Ya need to get to a Library, (a bidness Library at that), n' study the awl bidness LONG n' HARD. Sheeeeeeesh, I say! JR :eek:

Ahhh no one even took a nibble here,

Hey TG, I could not understand the point you were tryin' to make, (still can't). Far be it fer me as a very poor speller n' over dose user of 'cornpone' to criticise anothers post BUT: WATCHA TRYIN TA SAY: WILLIS?

come on stand on your own two feet and maybe one principle............. It is the basis of the world econ and a new surprise coming your way.................. Hey OMR how do you feel about foreign big oil coming in and buying up American Ind........

That is capitalism TG!! I usually don't have a problem with most foreigners investin' here, dependin' on the nature of the bidness they are buyin'. It makes 'em subject to our laws n' taxes. Usually foreign money commin' here is win win, (more US jobs n' capital fer our wonderfull system). Lou Dobbs is a total fraud. He makes up things jus' like Dan Rather did, and when he gets caught he gets a free pass. He is a third class anti American jerk.

:D... and you know the best thing about it...we american's are financing it.....

NO! TG: yer real wrong. the Chinese are financin' things these days.

damm now who woulda thought....;) Your next bro......but ya notice there not buying any American auto mfg...........

Who would TG? The Germans lost a boat load.

ohh those dirty mfg's.........by the way look deep into Ford's Bold Move's program...........there closing about 50,000 american job's.....and trying t replace them with........just guess ..............Ola senior...........;)

Labor Unions, n' Nanny Gubmint regulations and poor management, (very big bet on trucks, SUVs, n' hot cars that drink lots o' fuel), and very well run foreign cormpetition and world wide over capacity is a terrible bunch of hurdles ta face: TG.

I will never again vote Republican.......

Sorry ta hear yer now a full fledged VICTIM: TG. It was fun havin' ya on our side fer a bit. You do work in a very troubled industry with a big bunch of challenges. Ever thought about how the big demographic peak will hit high dollar cornsumer items that need loads of financin'? What if China just says no, (some day in the future)? I'd think about that long and hard if I were you. Vote fer Socialism by all means if ya wanna bring the rest of us down. Maybe we can turn the demographic peak into a full fledged depression n' move further towards Communism. Sheeeeeeeesh.

The last one died he was called Regan i believe..

Ronald Reagan was very similar to GW Bush in most aspects except holding the line on domestic spending. The good ol' days always seem better then they really were: TG. Sorry yer havin' troubles. Respectfully, JR

Well i'll be dammed you sure analized it well enough....

Omr now that's just a bit off there bro, you see had not the truck market fell apart and required up to 8000 dollar's in factory discount's to move that american steel, that picture would be a bit different.....Umm again it can and was attributed to big oil and big oil alone. Uhh by the way American's prefer big truck's and suv's the mfg's just follow. Id be a bit careful blaming big union's they are one of the only job's left in the joey six pack labor market that can afford the mortage on a 300,000 dollar home but that another story...

:D TG is doing ok but i will say, what i see everyday does jade me,and i for one am becoming very tired of this "Victim" rationalization, but it does conveintly shed guilt.......i mean in a business transaction how con one be a victim it's just business...;) But you do bring up a good point aka our lack of industry.......umm giving it all to china or some off shore third world country.......But if we do lose American car mfg due to high priced oil......What will happen when the next 911 occur's, do you have any ideal how heavly the car ind became involed and pulled this country back on it's feet.......that is creating abusrd rate's of intrest to bring demand back up creating job's and stimulating us out of that mess????? :D bad mgmt huh.. Ohh by the way bank's followed they had no choice but to be competitive, ya know that free market stuff you talk about..

Ohh as to the point, we can no longer afford to sit on our high minded principle's and save the enviroment ...... and from what, speculation and conjuecture aka "Global warming" It is time to drill and open up every orfice of oil in the ground and flood the market before we become a nation of burger flipper's competing with third world country's who can flip with the best of them....;)

Here is just one feild http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2002463368_oilstudy01.html

But you have to ask yourself, why would a big oil company open new feild's and flood there own markets, destroying pricing and profit. What CEO would do such a thing........he'd be kicked off the board before the minute's were collected at the end of the meeting..........so if they dont, who would......hmm sound's like it's back to the big "M" word

Ya think buildin' Lots o' Big fuel guzzelin' Trucks n' SUVs n' very few economical high quality cars (like YOTRS, [cornpone fer the largest n' best run Auto company on this particular planet]), is good management? Hmmmmmmm, I say!!

that picture would be a bit different.....

Yah it would be different if gravity did not werk either?

Umm again it can and was attributed to big oil and big oil alone.

China, n' India had nothin' ta do with anything in yer world I take it?

Uhh by the way American's prefer big truck's and suv's the mfg's just follow.

No doubt. Ya make hay when the sun is shinnin' TG! If ya have a single functionin' brain cell, ya prepare fer a likely or even potential development, (oil prices could rise if ya use that single functional brain cell), n' have a few economical cars that run a long time with out fixin' n' reparin' daily, if ya know what I mean: TG!

Id be a bit careful blaming big union's they are one of the only job's left in the joey six pack labor market that can afford the mortage on a 300,000 dollar home but that another story...

Those jobs n' retirement bene's are the primary reason GM has ta pack over 4 yards, ($4,000) into each of those Detroit Iron BIG uns' rollin' off the line. Yah lets unionize all American companies n' kill all industries with the malidies of the Auto biz! No thanks: Mrs. Jones.

:D TG is doing ok but i will say, what i see everyday does jade me,and i for one am becoming very tired of this "Victim" rationalization, but it does conveintly shed guilt.......i mean in a business transaction how con one be a victim it's just business...;)

Yah we should all shoot ourselves 'cause China n' India, (n' Korea n' Japan) are competin' with us. Hmmmmmmm, I say. Victimhood is not fun: TG. never been a "victim", n' that does not mean ol' Murky has never had problems.

But you do bring up a good point aka our lack of industry.......umm giving it all to china or some off shore third world country.......But if we do lose American car mfg due to high priced oil......What will happen when the next 911 occur's, do you have any ideal how heavly the car ind became involed and pulled this country back on it's feet.......that is creating abusrd rate's of intrest to bring demand back up creating job's and stimulating us out of that mess????? :D bad mgmt huh.. You don't get the awl bidness TG, in fact yer understandin' of bidness in general is very differnt then mine. Sorry ta loose ya to the dark side. Doesn't mean we can't be friends!! :D JR
