I have a new to me 1998 Crestliner 24 foot pontooon boat with a 115 Yamaha on it. I have been slowly fixing and up grading things on it and I noticed that the transom well always has water in it. I reached under the motor and felt about a 1 1/2 to 2 inche hole at the bottom of the transom that lets water in. Is there any reason this should not have some kind of scupper on it so water could drain, but not flow back in? I haven't verified it, but I suspect that when the boat is moving forward the water is draining out anyway. Is there any reason that the boat should sit in the water lower to start out and that is why the hole is there? Thanks
