Is it OK to drain the water from the engine into the bilge area (with the plug pulled of course) for winterizing purposes. I have a manual and it says to use an appropriate drain pan, Yea, Right. I can't get a drain pan down there, and when I found a small one that barely fit I made a bigger mess trying to wedge the half full plastic container out to dump it. Which I had to do many times. Thanks

drain thru bilge is the way ive done it for years. even drain the antifreeze the same way, just put drain pan under bilge hole to catch it.

Thanks, From now on it goes in the bilge, out the plug hole to a pan, and anything left in the bilge I'll suck out with a shop vac. Fantastic!!
