So what is your ultimate fantasy boat?
Understanding that some out there have already acheived theirs, let it be an inner tube or cruise line.
Mine would have to be a Chris Craft Cobra.

Re: Dream boat?

Although my little 1996 Glastron GS 160 w/1979 Mercury 140hp is great, my dream boat is a Reinell 181. But, they don't make that model anymore, so I'll have to get a used one.

Craig

My canoe is the best boat I ever owned, and if I could only keep one, it would be it.

Chris Craft Barrelstern... like the one in the new Ford commercial, which also looked like the one they wanted $75,000 for on eBay. Heheeee.. Dreaming...

Warrior fully decked out Walleye boat, or top of the line Crestliner with big 4C OB. Top of the line Nautique wouldn't hurt my feelings either...

Jeff

Re: Dream boat?

Mine would look like Snapperbait's, except it would make a wake like a tournament ski boat for water skiing. Hey, you said fantasy.

Re: Dream boat?

I guess my dream boats are more modest.

For offshore: Boston Whaler Outrage 18 from the 80s with a 150 4 stroke. Had a couple of those with 2 stroke power.

For cruising the ICW or long river trips: Boston Whaler Menemsha from the early 70s with Johnny 70 4 stroke.

For small lake and river fishing: Boston Whaler Striper 15 from the 80s with a Johnny 70 triple looper.

For all-round, go anywhere and fish: Boston Whaler classic Montauk with Johnny 70 4 stroke, front pedestal seat. Had one of those, too. Ryan T. has it now.

Ok here we go…

In 2003, the launch of Paul Allen's 127m (416ft) "Octopus" secured its number one position as the world's largest privatly owned yacht.

Microsoft's "accidental billionaire" Paul Allen - worth US$20 billion according to Forbes, the third richest man in America and 7th in the world - owns two other monsters yachts such as Tatoosh ranked 3rd in the World in 2003.

Octopus cost Allen over US$200 million and has Permanent crew of 60, including several former Navy Seals. It has two helicopters, seven boats, a 10 man submarine and a remote controlled vehicle for crawling on the Ocean floor. The submarine has the capacity to sleep eight for up to two weeks underwater.

Seriously my dream boat would probably be something more like this, different colors though.

Those with modest dreams achieve them much more often.

Re: Dream boat?

Already got my dream boat too. If I were to live on a lake, I would probably go to an inboard Sanger or Malibu, but not any time in the near future.
