Two quick questions from new Bayliner owner.
1. When I run the muffs I have water coming out from the right side at the top(looking at the back of boat). On the left side in the same area I have warm air coming out but no water. Is this right?

2. How often should I flush the lower unit lube system?

Thanks ahead for responses and feel free to expand all answers as I am new!

I have an 06 bayliner 175 with the 3.0 mercruiser...

Change the lube every season.

Also for sakes of simplicity looking at the back of your boat the left side is called the port the right side is called the starboard. Makes it easier to explain.

Welcome to boating!

As far as I know, the exhaust/water mixture coming from the manifolds in alpha outdrives (can't comment on others) becomes mixed (no longer left/right or just water/exhaust) as it goes through the exhaust pipe and through the transom, regardless of engine type/size. Because of the de-centralization, the fact that you have water only coming out one side is probably more due to some slope of the boat, driveway, etc. or possibly some small amount of blockage in the port side duct. Whatever it is, as long as you have water coming out one of the sides and the other side isn't plugged, I wouldn't worry about it.

P.S. my favorite beer for working on anything is whatever is on sale :)
Oh, and nice boat Lew!

Right back at ya The man! Guess I should start a new thread for this but since you brought this up, my Ray is an open bow/bowrider, but on the back and on the capcity plate is just has 180, no BR, I noticed yours and a 1990 180 I saw once has BR after the 180. Why did I get no BR? Also, how many persons can your Ray carry on the capacity plate? Mine says 6, the 1990 I saw had 8 on the cap. plate and it looked identical to my boat, size, motor, everything! Oh well, at least limit 6 helps me keep out the riff raff and more room for the cold ones!:D

I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I DON"T drive the boat!!!
