Drive shaft Yoke Surface Question

Hello everyone. I am in the process of replacing my u-joints on a Alpha One -Gen one and have come across a question. I am replacing all the seals on the upper unit due to pulling the yoke gears and shims and I have noticed that my yoke has a considerable amount of pitting on it. The seal area on the yoke isn't in to bad of shape. I cleaned it up and took a photo of it. Should I replace it or can I reinstall it? Thanks for your input.

not that expensive of a part........if in question .........replace it

Speedi-sleeve...hmm I have never tried it and I'll have to look into it. Is there a big difference between Sierra yokes and OEM ones? The price difference is pretty considerable.

Just put a speedi sleeve on the old yoke. Then you will have a good surface for the seal to ride upon.

Where does one acquire a speedy sleeve in this diameter?

Ayuh,.... Bring the yoke with ya to an Industrial Bearing Supply house,...

I use Kaman Bearing locally, here...

From the speedie sleeve shop...
