Drive will not trim down

The drive (Bravo II) will not trim down…I tried bleeding the system but it won’t last, it works for a couple days and then it stops trimming down again. The pump seems to be working fine, I’m thinking it could be the cylenders, could rebuilding the cylinder (looks like an easy job???) do the trick and fix my problem or could it be something else…Thanks

do you mean that the drive raises by itself going fwd. or that the drive cant be trimmed at all. a rebuilding kit is available ,has all the "O" rings needed

If the down circuit of the pump is good,could be the O rings bleeding past or maybe the ram shafts got a bend in them from a strike.could the U joints be rusted up from water in the boot?

Could be the pump or the cylinders. Mercruiser dealers have a High Pressure gauge and manifold setup to locate this kind of problem.<br /><br />Here is a link to the service manual. How long has it been since the Pins have been Greased,..???......

Bondo, good question…I just got the boat about month ago, I don’t have any ideal. How can I grease the pins…thanks

There Should be Zerts,...... My Alpha's got 5 or 6.....<br /><br />Look around the Pivot Points......
