I have a 1982 3.8 OMC with a model 800 sterndrive.<br />While trying to find the reason for my engine seizing up I removed the driveshaft from the intermediate housing. The outer bearing, closest to the ball gear is destroyed. The race in the housing still looks OK. Is replacing the two bearings on the end of this shaft just a matter of pressing new ones onto the shaft and putting everything back together or is there more to it?
