There is a single piece foot on the model VWB 52106. I have no experience on a single piece lower ends so I need accurate info on the separation of this model's foot without causing damage. I want to order an impeller after I confirm its dimensions. Tnx. -Larry

This site has a chrysler manual that covers the 6 hp chrysler, login and navigate to the Small Engine Repair Reference Center then marine/boat motors....there you should find your chrysler information

A very good reference site mrCrabs! They however seem to be displaying info on 2 piece foot models with separate gear case & exhaust housings. My low hours original engine has a one piece foot housing. But maybe I can take a chance and pull it even tho' it seems to have a "springy" rubbery resistance that tends to pull it back up....? more than it wants to drop down.
A puzzlement at the moment......

be sure to look for a shift lever and disconnect it if it has one, that could cause a springy feeling.

Yes, good point. It was inaccessable without pulling the powerhead tho' so the springy feel turned out to be the reluctance of the pumps rubber base to release the water tubing. That was handled by gently wiggling the foot sideways until it slid out smoothly.
Basically, the foot is standard with only driveline, shift linkage & water tubing. Maximum clearance to reach shift mtg. hardware is in "forward" shift. Some mechanical genius reversed the shift rods positions and then had to put a locknut on the now "floating" mtg. screw after screwing it in the threaded part first.
I was surprised to see the impeller is as big as on my 15HP Monkey Wards! Not one of those dinky ones. It was a recent replacement and in top shape which explained why the water out the exhaust at an idle did not have significant change when at speed. (a first indicator of eminent pump failure). Thanks for the help MrCrabs.......& Chrysler's RULE!
