I have a 2003 4.3 MPI Alpha Gen II -and its time to replace the manifolds and raisers. I do not have the dry joint system......but is it possible (without to much trouble) to convert to the dry joint system?

Thanks
KK

Re: Dry Joint Exhaust Manifold Conversion

yes, It's actually very easy, all you need to do is buy the manifolds, elbows and gaskets all at the same time. They are just a straight swap.

You need 2 of each of these
Exhaust manifolds are -864612T01
Manifold gaskets 27-99757
Elbow Gaskets (for seawater cooled engines) 27-864850A02
Elbows -864309T01

I just did the research..... to convert to the Dry Joint its $500.00 more -do you think its worth it? (I have 2 engines...so that's a $1000)
