I have a 1974 7.5hp mercury thunderbolt. Is a 2 cylinder. It is hard to start when cold. Have to choke it, give it throttle for it to start. But when warm starts with one pull. I noticed the top plug was bone dry. While the bottom was a wet brown oil residue. As it should. What would cause the top to be so dry while bottom is wet? Reed valves?
