Dry storage?

We had some rain last night and I didn't have the boat covered. The longer side seat has an of inch of water in the bottom. The seating looks like it is designed to let rain water run down and into the bases. I will drill drainage holes but just wanted to know if I can get a storage cabinet that is made for outdoor use to keep some things dry in. I'm thinking I could fasten it inside the rail along the back. Anybody found a good dry storage cabinet yet? I would rather have a cabinet with shelves than a storage tub or bin.

Any thing I want to keep dry is put into sealed containers I pick up at the dollar store

Re: Dry storage?

There are lots of dry storage options. Everything from dry bags to boxers. some are designed to float too. We use a few different types. One style for phones and keys and another for towels.

Re: Dry storage?

We had some things in heavy duty plastic bags. Some of it stayed dry and the other one, we must not have had the top folded over right. Yesterday was a good drying day. I think I might have to get some dry containers and figure out a way to store them under one end of the seating so that I can get at them easily. I am moving the seats in off of the rail because there wasn't enough clearance to fasten brackets on the rails for the boat cover supports and for pinning the support leg for the bimini top. The 18' pontoon boat deck is getting smaller all of the time.
