Dry weight?

I've seen several sources list my boat's dry weight as 3,100 lbs. Would that normally include the powertrain too? The power train probably adds up to about 1,000, so that would make a major difference if the dry weight is the boat alone.

I presume a dry weight is with an empty tank (hence, dry). I've seen a few different claims as to fuel tank size, but the original owner's manual says 35 gal, so I'll believe that over other data.

Re: Dry weight?

Dry weight would be the weight of the boat (and engine and drive) with no gas in it.
