i had that happen to me. on vacation we pulled up to a lake, i saw fish jumping out in the middle and put the boat in the water. i had the m/h set up and chairs and awning out for my wifes comfort. made a quick sandwich only to have another camper ask if i had a red boat, uh, i says yes. he says it's on the bottom. oh crap, forgot the drain plug. this on our second day of vacation. so up goes the awning. drag the boat to shore and then put it on the trailer. wife says why aren't you mad. i says why get mad, i'll be fishing in twenty minutes. pull all plugs, shoot some 10-30 weight oil down the plug holes. spin motor over, more oil, more spin motor. did it a few times. dried plugs. turn motor over and off to catch 2 nice 3lbs rainbow trout. wife couldn't get over it. she thought that was it for the boat. glad it was a 85hp two stroke. life is simple with that. 4 strokes are more complicated due to closed oiling system.
