Pick up a dt 55 ( 1986 ) and had it out on the water for the frist time
yesterday ( son-in-law did ). He said the gauge flashed red at
him ( can't be good ) . I haven't received my manual yet, so can
someone tell me how to read the gauge. it's the single gauge with
3 to4 green bars in the middle with a few icon on the side.
thanks as always bob

red light is oil level sensor.if tank is full, then switch is bad. its inside tank.

Re: dt 55 gauge question

Mine had a red thermometer icon on the side for overheat, red box at bottom of green boxes is for low oil and over rev. I think red box flash would be over rev, would stay on for low oil. My buzzer always sounds and red thermometer icon glows at startup until water flow is proven. MartyD
