hi guys i just bought a boat with no wiring at all i still have to get guages and remote throttle, question here is how would i go about hooking up a second batterey that wont be used for anything but still hooked up to be charger from the alternator or even used for my accessories im only using a 65hp engine. i will be planning to install a fish finder, gps, radio, and cb radio , beilge pump, and safety lights and mabye a spotlight for night.

Install a 2 postion battery switch. Perko M#8501 will let you charge both batteries while cruising. I have leads attched to my switch that allows me to charge both batteries while boat is parked.
