By the way, I am currently setting up that exact scenario on my pontoon I just bought.

Cool, post pics of your setup if you can once you install it. Got mine in the mail yesterday as well as 2 Blue Sea 80A Maxi fuses.

Will do.

BTW, I skipped the fuses.

Meaning you wont use them ?
Correct. You actually would only need one at most. Blue Sea is very conservative and that is why they post what they do. If the ACR is very close to the battery and the cables to it aren't running by ground points, they shouldn't be necessary.

The fuse that should be added is the one in the small ground wire however.

Are you planning on also having a dual bank charger connected to your batteries?

No, I remove them to use my charger if necessary.

What I am going to do is to wire the ACR to the output of the switch(between the loads and the switch). This way, when the switch is in the off position, the ACR won't be seeing the batteries when I am running the charger so the batteries will be separate during charge.

I have an onboard dual bank charger. Keep this idea in mind in case you decide to ever add one.

Cool, thanks......So should I be putting my fuses inline from battery to ACR on both batteries ?

You already bought them right? If yes, put them in.

If I was putting my ACR far away with the cables running near ground points, I would have installed them as well.

Do a search on google for Blue Sea ACR and fuses. You will find some discussions regarding this.

Will do....Im placing my batteries side by side, but my ARC will be on my AMP rack I'm building. I would say after running the cables they will be about 5 feet long to reach the ARC. Now I need to find the cables. Ive found a few I like that are marine type, but not sure what size lugs to buy. They have an option on ordering to get 5/16" or 3/8" lug post. what is common for Sears batteries ?

Some batteries are 5/16" and some are 3/8". The ground side of the battery is almost always 5/16". The Sears DieHard Platinum AGM has the 3/8 on the positive.

Go to Marine Wiring, Boat Cable and Electrical Genuinedealz.com and have them custom make your cables. That is what I just did.
