Has anyone tried the new Dual Circuit Plus switches from Blue Sea Systems. They make the battery switch options simple as can be. Off(batteries seperated from circuits), On (house battery connected to house circuit, engine battery connected to engine circuit) and Both (batteries combined as with other switches). Here's the link to a PDF brochure of them. https://resources.myeporia.com/company_57/E_Series.pdf The Dual Ciruit Plus is the forth switch on the second page. The diagram shows how it works in on and combined modes. I'd really like to hear from anyone that has one and if they prefer it over the older 1-2-off-both switches.

They don't show how isolation of the two banks is accomplished so I see no advantage to this switch unless one considers the OFF-1-BOTH-2 too complicated. In fact this is really the most versatile and one would not have to worry about failure of the isolation method mentioned in the ad. Just my opinion of course.

Re: Dual Circuit battery switch

There's another PDF located at https://resources.myeporia.com/company_57/Dual_Circuit_Plus.pdf that shows how it works. This switch allows you to use two batteries that when switched on are: one connected to the house circuit, one connected to the start circuit. Once the switch is turned on, you do not need to worry about starting off the wrong battery or vice versa. Or having to constantly operate everytime you stop and fish for a while, then start up to move to another spot. The two circuits are always seperated unless you switch it to combined which then connects both batteries to both banks, the same as the both setting on previous switches.

Re: Dual Circuit battery switch

I like the simplicity of this switch and have contacted them for an online supplier.

Additionally, I want to install a VSR Voltage Sensing Relay that will charge both batteries once the starting battery is charged back up by the engine.

I need to figure out how to wire all this together...

My personal preference for battery switches hasn’t changed; on/off.
