Hi all,
Pic attached. I've visited this in the past forums. But not definitive. But had to verify as I'm selling this tomorrow and want to be really sure.
1985 150 E150txcos. I removed the questionable VRO, and had several Brand-New conventional 438559 pumps. We have all seen assemblys put together with these dual pumps, like on LeeRoys ramblings and other sites, a bit pricey.
So, I took my new 438559 (same ones I use on my v4's) and plumbed them "in-series" to the fuel-rail. See my Pic attached. With formed hoses, and stainless clamps.
However, and my question is this: These pumps come with the fuel inlet pointing in the same direction-DOWN. So, to make the "Dual Unit", I just loosened the cap on one, and rotated it up. Is this Cool? I'm not blocking or restricting any flow somehow, am I?
By comparison, I have a similar 150 but a 1981 with tad different dual conventional pumps and they are laid out this same way from the factory. but Again, the only difference with motor in question, is I rotated the cap from down, to Up on one of the pumps to make the dual setup.
The motor runs flawlessly in a test tank....Just want to try and be 100% before it sold.
Appreciate any input. I maybe overthinking this..But when I sell a motor, I want it to be 100% flawless, tested and ready no question.
