I have a 1995 Champion Bass Boat with a dual pro charger for my 12/24 volt trolling motor. On the front of the boat there is a 3 stage switch along with a 3 prong electrical outlet. The settings on the switch are (2-12 volt charge, 12 volt, 12/24 run). My question is which setting should I select when charging with the dual pro charger. I know the obvious choice would be 2-12 charge setting but I was told that setting was for charging the batteries back through the troll motor cables via the three prong plug that is up front by the switch. I am asking this question because the battery on the left bank boils when charging and the charge indicator lights on the right bank blink most of the time while charging. All connections are clean and tight...batteries are almost 2 years old. I dont want to overcharge my batteries and ruin them. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Re: Dual Pro Charger 2x10

I'd take out the meter and check to see if you're not sending 24 volts into the "hot" battery. I'll be looking for a 3 bank 36 volt charger soon and have to figure that out too. Good luck. Sorry I can't help more. Maybe you can find a manual or wiring diagram online?
