Dual transducer mounting question

I just got my HDS 7 Gen3 the other day and was in the midst of putting on the transducers and came across something that might be a problem with where i have to mount them and before I go ahead and drill more holes I thought maybe there might be someone around that could give me a little direction (I hope!).

So I have the Structure Scan transducer mounted as you can see in the picture. The directions say for best results keep the skimmer transducer within 12 inches of the other one. Ok, can do, but because of the hull it will be a bit higher (as seen in the pic). I'm concerned that if its mounted higher it will cause issues when in use out fishing?

Where its circled there in red is where I want to put the skimmer transducer. Any thoughts?

Thank you for the reply. I'd actually watched this video a couple of times before I did any of the install. I'm not sure if it really answers what I'm fish in for... Pun intended :)

The skimmer transducer will actually be significantly higher then the lss transducer. I've looked around at pictures and videos, I know it can be higher but this is quite a bit higher. I'm of course afraid that the structure scan transducer will be in the way.
