Morning All

Just a quick one,
I have twin 3.0ltr volvo penta glp-d sx drives.
Does the drive have some sort of strainer for the raw water cooling??
And I take it the exhaust exits through the prop?

Thanks
Danny

There are no stupid questions, just the occassional stupid answer, whuch you will not find on this forum.
Your drives draw water through the little colander-like things on the leg, just forward of and above the propellor.
There does not appear to be a gauze or other filter, according to this drawing

The exhaust is through the propellor hub.

There is no real "strainer" or sand trap on these drives; the screens on the drive merely keep small rocks out. 'nutcase

I beg to differ, there are plenty of stupid answers on this forum, I've given a few of them myself :D

As stated there is no real strainer on the drives.
