Just an observation - everybody grumbles about the "dum a$$(sic)" drivers, but I've never met one. I mean, of all the posters on this forum for example, statistically, there has to be at least one. Who are you? Speak up and identify yourself. Or is everyone here the perfect driver?8)

OK BB ya got me! I talk on my cell phone from time to time. If I'm driving something fast, (relatively rare now a days), I get on it, (try to do it on freeway onramps so I don't get a ticket). Back in the "old days" I used to downshift my 'bad a$$' 3/4 ton Ford Truck "High Boy" with a reinforced bumber when someone was following too close and I was doin' more then the speed limit. (No one ever hit me because I would get on it if it looked too close), that said: it got their attention to keep adequate distance in the future. If flashing my high lights would not get the oncomming 'hairball' driver to dim his high head lights then 'DAYLIGHT IN THE SWAMPS' when my off road zillion candle power lights would light up the road. Sorry fer bein' a "dum a$$" driver: BB!! JR ps; never hit n' run, in fact haven't been in an accident since my 1974 Fait, (fix it again Tony) 124 spyder, (very kool car prior to the accident), was rear ended by an idiot in 1983, (n' no I didn't down shift that time).

Problem is, dumb drivers are too dumb to know that they are dumb - they think they are perfectly normal! I think that must go hand in hand with the cluelessness that probably pervades the rest of their lives. :=

If you are smart enough to think you are a dumb driver - then you probably aren't one. Recognizing the fact that there are issues is the hardest part & the first step to fixing them.

So JR - you do not qualify as a dumbazz in my book. :p

I've got two KC's mounted on the back of my Z71 for night launching and recovering. I won't say I haven't been known to "flash" someone at night that was either too close or using their high beams cause they're too stupid to knww that you don't crowd someone with your highbeams on.

Re: dum a$$ drivers

We have a parkway system that was built with a LOT of turns as a scenic route with a 40 MPH speed limit in the Robert Moses era

Now any normal driver with minimal skills can do it saftely at 65 MPH and get to work on time

God only knows why but a LOT of drivers seem to need to do it at 80+++ MPH and play thread the needle at rush hour

Then everybody gets all in a fit about what and unsafe road it is when some idoit runs into a tree fast enough to cut the car into 3 or more pieces :(

Hey Gabby, I had some real nasty backup lights on that truck too, (custom welded into that massive bumber by: yours truley). I occasionally would weld some eyelids if they flashed their highs on me. I really miss that good ol' truck, wish I hadn't let that kid talk me into selling her to him. (He stacked my very straight old girl up within a few months of buying it from me). :'( JR

Re: dum a$$ drivers

I had to stop for TRAFFIC yesterday at a GREEN light. Then I remembered that i'm in my beater 88 jeep pickup so I took the dare and drove though my right of way. The jerk that I had legally cut off waved and smiled at me from my rear veiw. I get flipped off by my neighbors for stopping at our stop signs.

most people wont6 agree with me ....but I believe folks show their true colors when behind the wheel.
