Re: Dumb, dumb, dumb
K100 - HEET - DryGas, ALL contain almost PURE alcohol, 90% or more.
Alcohol has an affinity for water, the molecular structure is so loose and unstable that it intersects and bonds with the water molecule within each other, 1 for 1, the two molecules become one within the one spaace, to make a stable alcohol/water molecule that will then pass thru filters.
Once in the engine the alcohol molecule burns off, evaporating the water and blowing the vapor out the exhaust.
The problem with adding alcohols to marine fuels that ALREADY contain alcohol is when the total amount of alcohol exceeds 10% of the fuel mixture, causing the combustion temp of the gasoline to lean out and temps rise to the point of possible piston damage under full loads.
FILTER OUT the water to be sure that your fuel remains safe for marine use.
