Umm... I have a 1978 35hp electric start that will not charge while underway. This is because the rectifier was removed by a previous owner. The motor will still run it just doesn't charge the battery. Just thought I'd throw that out there, if you don't have a rectifier or a pull rope, you might find yourself up the creek someday.
