1. Me and my dad were going fishing, and we had just bought a new battery for the boat. It was about 3 in the morning and i was trying to connect the cables to the battery so that when we got to the lake that morning it would be all set to go. Well black and red look a lot the same in the dark. It took awhile to figure out why the boat didnt want to start. nothin sounds quite as good as a starter going in the wrong direction. Later that day we lost two anchors and couldnt fish anyways.<br /><br />2. Me my dad and my uncle were fishing the oconomowoc river in a little 12ft rowboat. My dad accidently dropped his beer can over the side of the boat, lunged foreword to grab it before it filled with water and ended up tipping the whole thing over<br /><br />Oh and i did the plug thing once, but fortunately i aalso forgot to unlatch the winch also so the boat never got far enough in to fill up.

Have a cabin on a very weedy bay. I normally put the boat on the end of the dock where I pulled the weeds so you can take off with less fouling. <br /> Taking off two weeks ago(in a hurry because a small rain storm coming in and knowing the fish may want to accommadate an open mouth) so had my son hold the boat while I cranked it up and get going. <br /> Normally I grab the rear rope and rap it around the 6 gal. fuel tank and take off. <br /> This time I goofed and it fell in the water. When cleaning the prop(putting in reverse to clear) I fouled the rope into the motor which then stopped(why, duh?) Still not sure whats up.<br /> I then started up and instead of going forward thought it might still have too many weeds so put in reverse. Know better but no thinking. Luckicky the rope cut and had no damage to motor. <br /> In other words ' I am an idiot and I S_____<br />up".
