Dumb OMC question?

What are the 6 holes on each side, just above the A.V. plate, over the prop, in the lower section of OMC V4 for??? <br />Just wondering for a while about them. <br />I told you it was a dumb question!

Those are outlet holes for cooling water after it leaves the block when the thermostats or pressure relief vavles open.<br /><br />It wasn't a dumb question, just a question. That is what we are here for.
