I may need to replace a few stringers on my boat how does one go about getting the angles to run flat against the bottom of the hull and lengths right?

The only dumb question is the one that doesn't get asked, Most of us carefully cut the fiberglass over the stringers off and then use whatever is remaining as a pattern. You can "guesstimate" any missing areas.

I moved this to restoration. Yes there are tricks to duplicating the angles and these great people here will pass them along.

I see you are fairly new here so Welcome.

Read through some of our restoration threads and most of your questions will be answered. We have a great group here!!

HI and Welcome !!

Like Bond-o Said Measure , Measure , and measure again !! lol

And you don't want the stringers sitting right on the hull !! you have to bed them in something !! I used PL Premium to bed mine !! the thinking is if you put them right on the hull you will make hard spots , and thats not good it could put cracks in the hull !! John
