Dumb things this weekend

Well, here is a short list of my stupidty this weekend.<br /><br />Forgot the plug, no problem, jump over, screw em in, bilge pump done with it in 1 minute<br /><br />Running 27 mph, thought, hmmm water seems shallow. Slowed down some more, oops, now way too shallow. Should have stayed going fast cause I am in a jet boat. Well, took about 15 mintues to push off, just as I get to deep water, ahhhhhh JELLYFISH!!!!! Man those things hurt!!!!<br /><br />Note to self, get depth finder, check charts, and dont slow down in a jetboat!<br /><br />Ken

Ken, the bay is a hard one to navigate lots of shallow spots where you least expect them. Trust me, for years our lower unit was our depth finder.<br /><br />Mr. LF will have to tell you about his last trip across the bay in a jet boat.

It was on the south side of the bay , about 1/4 mile away from the sabine pass bridge.<br /><br />After getting home , applying meat tenderizer, and checking the chart, it said 1/2 foot water right where I was at. I'll be checking the chart more closely next time.<br /><br />Ken
