My 1997 Duo prop outdrive was last serviced 14 months ago. Today I hired someone to pull it off after not finding the time to do it myself. Along with lubing the ujoint, I wanted the prop shaft greased and the first prop came off easy. The second one was stuck on but the mechanic only brought a hammer and used a piece of wood when declaring it "stuck". My gear oil still looks great but at some point Ill need to get the front prop off. When it was last serviced 14 months ago, there was a note on the invoice about the hubs being to far corroded to be "re-hubbed". See attachment.
Should I get someone with a prop puller? Invest in one myself? Tilt the drive up and soak it with something to loosen the corrosion? Then once it's off, will I need to buy a new prop with a good hub? All new to me and would love some advice.
