Here is a quick Step by Step on Duplicating a 3-d Starcraft Resin Logo

Here is the scoop on the casting.

Step one, mount your original to a flat surface and clean up it's flaws as best you can

Step two, build a mold box and pour in your silicone mold mix

Now you have a negative flexible mold

Mix up your urethane resin mix and pour it in the mold after spraying with mold release compound

Viola! A new Starcraft Logo! Ready to paint to match your color scheme.

Could you do the same for stern corners??

You could make the silicone mold easy enough, but you would need some sort of low melting point metal, as the silicone is only good to 500 degrees or so, and I don't think the resin would be durable enough for boat transom corners, they take a lot of abuse.

Re: Duplicating an old Starcraft Logo

great, that was exactly my plan and the pics help so thanks.
looks like you glued it on , is that so?
stern corners are opposing so unless a donor and even then looks pretty tough to me.
think it would be easier "providing you know" to hog one out of blt aluminum and die grinder.
i got the ones from ebay and took a die grinder to the inside.
just hate to drill holes for mounting but don't see any other logical way.
could cement in place but how do you take apart if you want.
some day i'll have to drop in some pics but to lazy right now.

Nice Bret!!!! My problem was I didn't have one logo in good enough shape to use as a template. Good Job!

Here you go on the ebay corner:

Where does one get the components for the logo?

those are the ones i bought and are very nice, so smooth they look and feel like plastic.
have shown them to several people and that was their comment.
for the islander a die grinder on the underside was needed for proper fit.
new seats from ebay came in today, the msd 735 porta potty is on the way.

Re: Duplicating an old Starcraft Logo

Ok, some guy on fleabay found my little logos and asked me to make him a larger set out of a couple of broken ones he had off of his 1969 holiday. Here's what the larger logos look like. They are 14-3/4" long and about 2" high with hole spacing 4-1/4",4-3/4",4-1/4.
