So, I was browsing YouTube the other day when a recommended video came into view . . . SeaRay's #NextWave Dynamic Running Surface.

I can't tell if it's pure gimmick or a true advance in some area. To me, it seems like they just molded trim tabs into the bottom of the hull, which is fine but it doesn't extend the running surface like traditional tabs would since the tabs are integrated. It also seems like a more-complex design which could be compromised by debris getting in between the hull and the tab itself. They seem to be marketing it as a wake-shaping device (a la wakeboarding) but it may migrate to other platforms as well.

Here's a link: Dynamic Running Surface

Anyone have any experience with it yet? I believe it has an auto-leveling feature, which is nice, but still no different than traditional trim tabs with similar features.
