i have a 1980 7.5 hp evinrude which is an aux i bought with my boat and started it up for the first time and it runs well but wont go into gear. i noticed also after taking it out the water there is a 10mm gap between the prop and surface it is bolted against , with a washer in this gap sitting there losely on the shaft - which doesnt look right either. The split pin is still in place too on the prop.<br />any ideas anyone?????<br />looks like i might have been ripped off by a mate who sold it to me to me in good faith telling me i hadnt been used in 5 years etc etc<br />help would be greatly appreaciated.
