Just bought a new e-tec 40 DPL.
Im intrested at which rpm e-tec have less l/n.miles. Meaning the regime beetween 4000 and 5500 rpm.
I use it on an inflatable 4.50m and 170 kg.

Is it posible that i cannot go over 5300 rpm because of an engine problem?

I take it 5300 is your max RPM available??
I would say some break-in time needs to be allowed before assesing any problems.
It may well be how it's mounted, as in possibly too low. May need to raise it a hole and test.
How many hours do you have on it now??
What prop are you using??

consult your owners manual re max r.p.m. no break-in is necessary with e-tec motors

No break-in is specified by the manual, however, the engine will loosen up slightly with a little time.
6000 is your max and that's what I would shoot for.
Again, how many hours and what prop are you using?

It is equiped with the default prop (15).
It has only 3-4 hrs of work.
I pushed it only once to see the max rpm and it stoped at 5300.

What walleyehed was looking for in the prop question i think was size and pitch i.e. (13 1/4 X 15) it should be located on the prop either on the outside or in the center of the prop under where the prop nut secures it to the shaft.

Re: E-tec consumation

If it's OEM, it's likely to be a 391198, 13-3/4X15.
"If" this is the case, wait 'till ya get about 20-30 hours on it, and we can make a heigth adjustment and maybe get you up some, but it may require a 14X13 to get into the range you need to be...

Re: E-tec consumation

Yesterday got 3h more of work.
With that tempo will be at 20h 15.5...

So you say that I need a smaller prop to encrese the rpm? But that also means that at less rpm I will run slower, right?
