Eagle 480 Fish finder questions...

Guys,
I just got a rain check at BP for one on sale but decided to check with you guys before I lay my money down. It seems to be the same unit as the Lowrance X96 but was on sale for $149 vs the regular price of $199 for both units. The price matches my budget and I already have a H20 GPS so I didn't see the need in the expense of a combo unit.

Anyone have one? Care to share your likes, dislikes?

That is about the going price for the less expensive 480's. They have several models. I just took a SeaFinder 480 DF off of my boat. it went bad at 22 months out and Eagle wanted $90 flat rate for a fix. I never did really like it. The speed wheel always read about twice the actual speed I was traveliing, so that was worthless.
I guess I would go for the Lowrance if I were going to buy one of them. They seem to be the better choice of the 2.

Just picked it up today. For what it's worth I'll post up what I think about it once I get some time with it.
