On my controls, just below the ignition I have a dial/knob that is labelled "Throttle Friction". Can any one please tell me what it does?

Thanks,

On some models, vibration etc will cause the throttle lever to drift when underway. That friction knob is like a brake lining shoe that rubs against the throttle lever drum, applying pressure to help hold it in place.
